Northern Heritage Roofing recently completed a one-day eaves refurbishment and slate repair to the front elevation of a terraced property in Stanley, County Durham.

The eaves area had begun to deteriorate, with slipped and damaged slates leaving the lower section of the roof vulnerable to water ingress. Rather than disturbing more of the existing roof than necessary, our team carefully stripped back the affected section and carried out a targeted refurbishment.

• Refurbished the affected eaves section including new breathable membrane, eaves protector trays and pressure treated timber battons.
• Replaced damaged slates and securely re-fixed serviceable existing slates
• Corrected the slate line to provide a neat, consistent finish
• Checked the surrounding roof area for any additional visible defects
• Cleared the working area and removed all waste on completion
