Northern Heritage Roofing recently completed a flat roof upgrade in Kenton, Newcastle, replacing an ageing polycarbonate sheet roof with a new fully boarded EPDM rubber roofing system.

The existing polycarbonate covering had reached the stage where a more permanent and robust roofing solution was required. We removed the old sheet roofing and upgraded the area to create a solid, weatherproof flat roof designed to provide reliable protection for years to come.

Works Completed

• Carefully removed and disposed of the existing polycarbonate roof sheets
• Inspected the existing supporting roof structure
• Installed new roof boarding to create a solid, suitable substrate
• Installed a new EPDM rubber roof membrane
• Formed and finished perimeter edges and roof details
• Fully sealed the new system to provide a durable, watertight finish
• Removed all waste and left the property clean and tidy on completion

The transformation was completed within just one working day, giving the homeowner a substantial upgrade from the previous lightweight polycarbonate covering.
